Anarchist: (An MC Serial Novel) Book 2 Read online

Then came the night that I’d drank too much, because memories of my parents and my baby sister and what had been done to them had been riding me hard.

I don’t really remember much of what happened that night, I just remember waking up with her all over me on the pool table in the game room and my dick out of my pants.

I’d taken my ass to the doctor first thing and hadn’t gone near her since, no matter how much she tried to get me to fuck.

I’m not a biker; I ride a bike. I’m not a leader of an MC, but fuck if I don’t have a team of men under me asking me what moves to make and when.

I’m just an ex soldier who’s looking for vengeance for the blood of his kin, all this other shit just got thrown at me.

I wondered if I should get rid of the sister as well while I was at it, but I knew I would be blaming her for my own mistake if I did that, because she hadn’t done anything to deserve banishment. Still...

I gave myself a few minutes to get my thoughts together. My life didn’t look anything like I’d expected it to. I thought for sure by now I would be married with a kid or two under my belt.

A family that followed me around the world while I did what I loved, defending my country.

Instead I was living like an almost outlaw with vengeance as my only bed partner and hate my constant companion.

I saw her face in my mind, Dana’s, and my heart twisted at what this was going to do to her.

It was good that I still had a bit of the man my mother had raised in there, but it wasn’t going to make a difference.

I’m still going to do whatever I have to do, even if it means using a young innocent to get to my enemy.

  Chapter 2

It was time to go back and deal with Dana, but first I had one last thing to take care of. I pulled my phone again and made the call that would set things in motion. “Clay, get Brandon and Kyle and meet me in the clubhouse in five.”

I headed back to the house in search of her and was surprised to find her in the kitchen cooking.

“I hope you don’t mind, I cook when I’m nervous it relaxes me.”

“No problem.” I was sure what I was about to do would either scare the fuck out of her or make her knee me in the balls.

“I’m going to ask you this outright this once so think hard before you answer. Do you want to marry Royce Davis?”

“No.” She started that shaking shit again and I glared at her ass until she stopped.

“Your mother is leaving, but you’re staying.” I figured telling her that would ease her mind and stop that shaking shit, I don’t know why but it bothered me.

“Why is she leaving, she can’t want to go back there, you can’t send her back, how can you...” she actually moved towards me in anger.

“Dana, don’t ever ask me my business again or try to tell me what the fuck I can or cannot do, that shit pisses me the fuck off.”

I was more pissed off than her little slip warranted, and I could see the confusion in her eyes, but I wasn’t about to give her any satisfaction.

She’d brought this shit to me, and now I was contemplating doing something that could fuck up my life but good, so she could fucking deal.

I can’t seem to catch a fucking break no matter how I cut it.

“I’ll be back, finish your cooking but don’t leave this house for any reason. Anyone comes to that door you don’t open it I don’t care who it is. And don’t go near it or the windows. You think you can do that for me until I get back?”

“Yes, but what’s going to happen to my mother?” I didn’t answer her, just walked out the door. Seems everybody was having trouble with their hearing today or some fuck.

Sam caught up to me halfway to the clubhouse. “You told Sheila to get out?”

“You have a problem with that you can join her.” The next person that pisses me off is gonna land on their ass.

In the space of a few hours three separate people have questioned me. I was either losing my edge, or I’d fallen down the fucking rabbit hole.

“No sir, no problem. Thank you.” He looked around after saying that like he expected her crazy ass to jump out at him.

“Don’t mention it, next time don’t let your dick do the thinking for you, if you do, I won’t be there to pick up the pieces for you, I hate that shit.”

“Sorry boss, I won’t do it again.”

“Yeah you will; cause you’re young and stupid and right now, pussy is king. Go make sure they know at the gate that she’s supposed to be gone.” He ran off to see to it, dumb fuck.

Most of the guys here are young. They had no prospects in town, since Royce bought up and owned just about everything there was to own there, and he only hired people who were loyal to him.

Some people had scruples and weren’t interested in working for a murdering asshole, so those people either had to leave their homes and move away to find work, or starve.

When I’d started my little campaign, I’d opened the ranch to any who needed the work. That was before I became the unofficial head of a wayward group of misfits.

The funny thing was, it turned out that I need them just as much as they need me. Sure dad had taught me about the running of the place, but there were men here who actually knew what the fuck they were doing.

I had the ranch up and running when I thought for sure it might go under. There was money to pay my people because dad had been a shrewd businessman.

There was one last thing that I had to see to, something that could mean even more money coming in. I’d found the notes in dad’s papers not too long ago.

They had finally given me some insight into why a man like Royce Davis might want my family’s land when he had so much of his own.

Especially so far out here, away from everything. Sure it could’ve been to build a shopping mall and homes like some of the whispers had implied, but the notes told a different story, a more plausible one.

And if I pulled it off, it would crush Royce Davis once and for all. All I needed was the right time and I’d get that shit started.

I found my boys waiting for me. There were a few more people here in the clubhouse now than there had been earlier, because the place was waking up.

“Chaz and Ty call back yet?” I walked over to the bar area to get some coffee. I hadn’t had time to eat shit this morning and my stomach was starting to protest.

“Yeah, he’s been looked after, it’s just a concussion and a few broken bones. They wanted to keep him but the boys are on their way back with him, they had to sneak him out.”

“Did they use their real names?”

“Of course not they’re not stupid; they faked it and paid cash for the medicine.”

“Fine, tell them to bring him back here and chain his ass in the old outhouse until he wakes up. Where’s the friend?”

“He’s being detained like you said.”

  “Good.”

I didn’t want anyone overhearing what I had to say so we headed back to the meeting room and put up the shields.

“Royce bought her.” No sense in beating around the bush, that’s not how I deal with my guys, at least not the three that were in this room with me.

“What do you mean bought her exactly?” Clay sat forward on his seat and cracked his knuckles, his face set in lines of anger. It’s good to see they could keep a cool head.

“Just what I said, apparently he saw her when she was twelve and decided he wanted her. At least we ought to be thankful the evil fuck waited until she was eighteen.”

I filled them in on what I knew so far.

“But here’s the thing, they’re supposed to be getting married tomorrow.”

“You said supposed...” Kyle had the beginnings of a smile on his face, my baby brother knows me so well.

“Yes, because she’s not marrying him. So we have to figure out what the fuck we’re going to do, because we all know he’s not gonna just give her up that easily, not after spending all that money to have her refin
ed or whatever the fuck the freak was up to.”

“We put double the men on the wall and called in the others for the day. There’re still a few of our people out there working, but they’ve all got the call so they should be here before the sun goes down. We all know Royce isn’t going to do anything in the daylight.”

“That’s true Brand, but how long are we going to do that for? No we have to take the fight to him, make first strike.”

“Okay bro, I’m with you whatever you want to do, just say the word.”

“I’ll get back to you on that, right now I have to go tell a young girl that her life is fucked.” Not that it hadn’t been before now. From the moment she came under Royce’s radar, life, as she knew it, was fucked.

I left them after filling them in on some other shit that had nothing to do with Ms. Dana and her fuckery.

Kyle ran to catch up with me, “Travis is coming home.” I stopped moving and looked at him. Finally, some good fucking news for a change.

“When?” Travis was our cousin. He used to spend the summers with us when we were all kids, and had lived with us here up until the summer before the murders when he’d gone off to college.

After college he’d gone away for a year to work for some company that was supposed to help him get a leg up and now he was coming home.

“He should be here any day now, he tried calling you but you never answer your damn phone.”

“Why don’t you go bitch at your wife bro, I’ve got shit to do.”

“Yeah about that, what do you plan on doing? I know you’re not gonna give her to him, so what else is there? I mean we can hide her out here for a while I guess, but how long’s that gonna last? This is no place for a girl like her...”

“Melissa seems to do fine enough.”

“Yeah but Mel grew up around us, she knows the deal and she loves me.”

“Yeah well don’t worry about it, when I make up my mind you’ll be the first to know.” The little fucker gave me that look like he knew some fuck I didn’t.

By the time I made it back to the house I’d been stopped by three more people who needed shit done.

She was bending over taking something from the oven that smelt like heaven, but it was the sight of her ass that made my cock jump. I need this fuck.

“You just about done in here?”

“Ahhh.” She jumped and dropped the pan of cookies on top of the stove. “Lawton you scared me half to death.”

It was the first time she’d said my name and it did something to the nerves in my gut. I felt like an ass standing there wanting to ask her to say my name again in her sweet voice. I’m a fucking romance novel.

“Sorry, are you done? You need to go say bye to your mother.” That made her sad and she gave me the pouty face sad eyes look as she removed her apron and turned down the oven.

“I know you said not to ask you about your...”

  “So don’t.”

She actually glared at me and huffed. Shit, she was one of those.

“As I was saying, I don’t see why mom can’t just stay here with me.”

“I don’t like people I can’t trust that close to me.” She wasn’t too happy with my words, but she didn’t say anything more as we walked over to the cottage.

Her mother, as I expected was waiting with her shit already at the door.

“Mom?” she rushed over to the older woman and they embraced.

“I’m sorry Dana Sue, but I’ve been living with your father for too long. I can’t just up and leave, much as I would wish to. I know this young man don’t understand, but Carl’s been my husband since I was your age. It’s the only life I know, I can’t just...”

“But he hit you mama, and look at what he did to me, how can you think of going back there?”

At least she had a little fire in her, which was a relief. If I was going to have to abide her for any length of time it was good to know she wasn’t going to be a pain in the ass simpering twit.

The two of them played a little game of back and forth until I put an end to it.

“Listen, I have to make some preparations around here to deal with your shit. I don’t want her here when I start putting my shit into play so you’re gonna have to get your goodbye out of the way now.

I’ll take this shit out to your truck.” I grabbed the bags she’d brought with her and headed out the door.

By the time I came back they were both in tears and I had to practically drag Dana out of her mother’s arms.

“Promise me you’ll take care of her.”

“I don’t make promises.” Fuck does she care? She was going to sell her to Royce fucking Davis. My border collie would take better care of her than that fuck.

“Did you have to be so rude?”

“That sounds a fuck of a lot like you telling me what to do Ms. Dana. Now get back to the house, I’ll be there soon.” She gave her mother one last look before heading back.

I ordered two of the men to follow the mother part of the way and headed back to the house to deal with a sulking female, whose life I was about to turn upside down. Fuck! She was doing it to me too so I guess we’re even.

  Chapter 3

I cornered her against the wall with my arms beside her head as soon as I cleared the door. She looked up at me with a look of wonder mixed with fear on her face.

“What...” I stopped her mouth with mine. I had to know; no matter the result my mind was already made up, but I had to know.

I didn’t stop to think why it should matter, but just in case.

Fuck me. I let her go and stood there looking down at her. She wasn’t looking much better than I was feeling, and her eyes were glued to my lips.

“Was that your first kiss Dana?” and why the fuck did I care if she said yes or not? But there was no denying the feeling I got when she nodded her head yes.

“I know you’ve said that you didn’t know about the deal with Royce until this morning, but were you ever alone with him, or was he ever near you in the last six years?”

“Yes, but, I didn’t know what was going on. I did find it a bit strange in the beginning, but daddy explained that the two of them had gone into business together. I...” She stopped talking and looked like she was going to be sick.

  “You what?”

“I just remembered; there was this one time when Mr. Davis tried to get me to sit on his knee. It felt weird so I didn’t stay there long.

And then there were all those times he’d ask me to turn so he could have a look at me, all those comments about how well I was growing.

Now that I think of it, he was always there whenever I came home. And sometimes he’d stay for dinner...”

“DANA.” I had to pull her in hard and hold her against my chest because the shakes were even worse than before.

“How could I have been so stupid, why didn’t I see what they were doing?”

Maybe because you were a kid! I held her until she stopped shaking and then put her away from me.

I don’t think it was appropriate to be having visions of fucking her on the kitchen table while she was reliving that shit.

Now I have the memory of the way she felt against me burned into my mind. As if this shit wasn’t going to be hard enough at it is.

I checked my watch and gave myself one last time to change my mind, no dice. I had no doubt that if Royce had been given the news that she was with me that he was already plotting some shit.

“I have to make a call and then you and I are gonna have a nice long talk.”

  “About what?”

“Stuff.” I left her in the kitchen and went to my private home office for some privacy for the call. I was going to need a lot of shit done in a very short time so I was going to be calling in some favors.

Surprisingly, most of the town’s people were only too happy to help out the guys and I whenever we had a need.

When I’d lived at home I hadn’t ever noticed how much contempt the peo
ple held for Royce and his family, now it was glaringly obvious.

Because of his highhandedness and the way he’d taught his son to be just like him, the people had a lot of dislike for them.

I didn’t know too much about the son, Royce had shipped him off long ago to some fancy school somewhere in Europe. I didn’t even know people still did that shit.

Unlike his father I didn’t believe in going after anyone other than the person I had beef with, otherwise I would’ve ended his son a long time ago.

He’d been home for quite some time now, and one of the women he fucks is only too willing to set him up for my bullet, but that’s not the way I play. Though I keep my options open, you never know what might be in the future.

An hour and a half later after a fuck load of calls, I had everything I was going to need. Now I just had to take care of things on my end.

This shit was a delicate situation. I didn’t know all I needed to about everyone that was here on the ranch right now, as was evident by Bill the asshole, and I needed to keep what I had in mind a secret until I was ready to use it. If there were any spies here now I’d have to be extra careful.

I wasn’t too sure how I was going to pull it off, but after the lockdown, no one was allowed to come or go except me and my crew, so that should keep shit contained until I learned what I needed to know.

Apart from that, there wasn’t much else I could do. First things first, take care of Dana. At least I told myself that that’s what I was doing, but I think down deep inside I knew there was something else going on. I just choose not to look at that shit right now.

I was surprised when she came into my office just then with a plate in her hand.

“I made you lunch.” She was so shy and I kept wishing the bruises would hurry up and fade so I could see all of her. The promise of beauty was there yes, but I wanted to see it.

Back the fuck off Law; it’s not that kinda party. It shouldn’t matter what the fuck she looks like, or the fact that she nearly blew the top off my fucking head with that kiss. This shit wasn’t about that.
